"Fuzzypeg Goes To School" by Alison Uttley, published by Collins, 1947 edition.  Beautiful little hardback book with wonderful colour illustrations throughout by Margaret Tempest.  Part of the very charming and collectable Little Grey Rabbit series. "Testament Of Friendship" by Vera Brittain, published  by Macmillan, 1940 (this is a reprint from the year it was first published).  The story of the friendship between the author and Winifred Holtby (author of South Riding).  At the end of the WWI, the author (famous now for "Testament Of Youth"), returns to Oxford and begins a lifelong friendship with Holty, who eventually helps heal the wounds from the legacy of war.  Their enduring friendship remained supportive on a professional and personal level as this book reveals, along with their interests in the role of women in politics, pacifism and literature.  Book is in overall good condition for age, previous owner's gift inscription dated 1941 on inside endpaper, couple of small closed tears to book jacket.
