| This is such a charming tablecloth, that conjures up all kinds of romantic summer images, Cottage Gardens and thatched cottages! Lovely hand embroidered tablecloth on natural cotton and finished with pink ribbon and coloured stitching edge. Bedecked with crinoline ladies in a variety of situations in the garden collecting their blooms - underneath a tree, next to the bird bath, beside a cottage surrounded at all times by hollyhocks, pink blossoms etc. Stunning images to each of the four corners and ones in between too, whilst in the centre there is a circle of yellow flowers. | The swallows have returned which is surely a sign that summer is on the way. This beautiful vintage poster of barn swallows and house martins, has a lovely summery taste about it. One can almost hear the swoops and shrieks of these lovely birds. The poster is from a collection of vintage educational posters published in the 1940's and is signed by K.Nixon, a well known artist who was one of Enid Blyton's illustrators. | A taste of summer blooms and butterflies are beautifully illustrated on this vintage tin. Made as a sample biscuit tin by C.W.S. Beautiful irridescent blue Dephiniums decorate the hinged lid. Measuring 19 cm tall, 11.5 cm wide and 3.5 cm deep. The tin is in good condition with just a few surface scratches to the lid and base of the tin which is embossed with the words C.W.S BISCUITS FREE SAMPLE. A lovely summery tin! |

| A rare opportunity to buy a genuine vintage wooden trug. The perfect excuse for a wander round the garden, trug in hand, picking those flowers and homegrown veg... This is almost too good for the potting shed and would look lovely in a summerhouse or conservatory. Filled with fruit and vegetables, this would look great on a kitchen table too. The trug does show signs of its age, but that is its beauty, a wonderfully weathered handle and darkened wood, one of the slats has a tiny piece of wood missing from it (please see photos) but this does not, we feel, detract from its charm. | This beautiful vintage puzzle, is a puzzle within itself. An unusual and rare wooden puzzle, depicting an abundance of colourful cottage flowers against the backdrop of a Tudor style house. The puzzle pieces are mostly cut in conventional size, save for the top left and right hand corners which are both one large piece that has been uncut. The top of the puzzle is unusual too in the fact that it is crenellated. Adding to the mystery and magic of this delightful puzzle are the words in a panel 'Like the wafted incense born of summer flowers, fragrant thoughts and memories, enrich the passing hours.' | 1950 first edition of King Penguin "Tulipomania", written by Wilfred Blunt, the art master of Eton College. A loving history of the tulip and explanation for our love and mania for this beautiful bulb. Accompanied by 16 beautiful colour plates reproduced from originals by Alexander Walker from the Royal Library at Windsor. Dustjacket is price clipped and in very good condition. There is some foxing to some of the pages but it is in overall very good condition. Board covers are excellent as is the spine. A lovely edition of an exquisite and rare book. |

| Very charming little book about Wild Flowers, issued as part of Mother Nature's series and published by Frederick Warne in 1939. Written by W J Stokoe. Wild Flowers described "in simple language". With 8 black and white plates and 58 black and white illustrations. Dustjacket has charming image of country lane (also reproduced in colour inside book) on front but is showing signs of age, tears to edges of cover and quite grubby in places (please see photos). Board covers are in good condition. Dustjacket is price clipped and book has a small inscription from previous owner on inside endpaper. A very charming little book - perfect for a summer countryside stroll. |

This edition has board covers, the spine is slightly worn and some slight foxing to boards. | This is an unusual but very attractive Art Deco style vintage brooch. An embossed pattern of stylized flowers is fashioned from pewter over a celluloid base with a pin clasp.
