"The Wise Robin", published by Ladybird Books 1950s.  Early edition of this wonderful book published as part of the iconic Ladybird series.  Beautifully illustrated in colour throughout by P B Hickling.In overall good condition for age, the book has some edge wear to dustjacket and a little repair on spine of jacket too. Decorative board covers beneath and contents are fine.  Previous owner's gift inscription on inside, dated Christmas 1959.  Lovely tale of heroic little robin who sets out to find a gift for Mrs Robin from a Christmas tree, truly nostalgic, full of festive cheer. Very collectable too.

"The First Christmas" vintage school poster, produced by Macmillan as part of Enid Blyton Bible pictures series c1940s/1950s.  Originally intended for use in classrooms, this poster is in good condition for age.  It does have several pinholes to top border and bottom corners on border but these would be covered if poster was mounted. Depicting the nativity scene, this beautiful poster is hard to find and collectable.  Measures approx 54cm x 43cm.

Vintage handmade Christmas Elf c1940s/1950s.  This little chap has been handmade from felt and his limbs are made from felt wrapped around pipe cleaners, making him extra agile for Christmas duties!  He stands approx 8cm tall from the tip of his red felt pixie boots to the tip of his brown hat.  In good condition for age, some slight marking to the back of his belt.  Wonderful display item or addition to collection.

Beautiful vintage hardback book, illustrated by Clare Dawson.  This 1940s book carries wartime economy standard stamp, stating it has been published in adherence with wartime economy publishing standards.  In good condition for age, the book has prize winning Bookplate on inside endpaper dated Christmas 1949. A retelling of the life of Christ through the eyes of three donkeys that bore him on his journey. Beautiful children's book.

Lovely vintage postcard with calendar attached.  Very pretty image of three Edwardian ladies in summer dresses picking floral posies, in delicately coloured pastels.  The postcard is unused on reverse and is in good condition for age.  It is made all the poignant for the year, 1914, printed before the War broke.  The calendar is missing the page for January but all others are present, some rusting near staple on calendar only.  Beautiful display item.
